Real Estate That Forgot the Human Story

Catahoula’s mission was clear: to empower travelers, owners, and creatives to feel at home anywhere in the world while giving back to the communities they touch. The project aimed to create a network of boutique homes and studios—each fully furnished, fully serviced, and steeped in local design—connected through a subscription model of “Housing as a Service.” Design, hospitality, and technology would merge to create spaces that are mobile yet rooted, blending neighborhood authenticity with on-demand convenience. The brand identity work focused on distilling this ethos—Life Untethered—into a visual and verbal system that felt liberated, aspirational, and real.

Result

A Brand for the Liberated Class

The resulting brand system redefined what boutique living can feel like. Catahoula: Life Untethered became both a promise and an attitude—rooted in four tone pillars: Idealistic, Charismatic, Adventurous, Empowering. The identity pairs bold typography with soulful photography, balancing vintage Americana warmth and modern clarity. Visuals celebrate real people and places—dogs, design, and daily rituals—capturing what one founder called “ownership without the strings.” Across properties and platforms, the new brand unites renters and owners under a single story: quality without compromise, creativity without borders.

From the moodboard’s “little bit country, little bit rock-and-roll” vibe to its luxurious yet lived-in aesthetic, Catahoula now stands as a brand that lives its own philosophy—turning housing into a lifestyle of freedom, style, and community.
