There was no consumer device offering consistent, immediate feedback on milk maturation or supply trends.MyMilk’s co-founders, both mothers and scientists, realized that while breast milk contains rich biological signals, everyday users had no way to access that data. The gap was clear: mothers were navigating a high-stakes, deeply emotional journey without real-time insight, and lactation support lacked scalable tools to intervene early.

MyLee aimed to make maternal and infant health more accessible and data-driven by turning breast milk into a source of real-time health insights. The team developed a Bluetooth-enabled handheld device that analyzes a few drops of milk to reveal its nutrient composition and maturation percentage (MM%). Results sync instantly with the MyLee mobile app, allowing mothers, doctors, and caretakers to track nutrition, health trends, and receive personalized guidance—reducing the need for frequent clinic visits. By connecting data, care, and daily life, MyLee empowers mothers to improve diet, sleep, and overall wellness remotely.

Mylee enables mothers to perform daily “milk scans” from home, track supply trends, detect early signs of supply regression or imbalance, and share reports with lactation consultants. The app also provides curated educational content, feeding logs, diaper and weight tracking, and personalized recommendations.

By 2025, MyMilk published a peer-reviewed validation of the Mylee device, demonstrating excellent accuracy and reproducibility when compared to lab-grade sodium assays in 167 human milk specimens.
